Updated policy work programme released

The Government has today released its updated tax policy work programme for 2021–22. The work programme follows the strategic direction for revenue policy as set out in the Government's revenue strategy and continues the Government's focus on a fair and progressive tax system that aims to reduce inequality, while supporting the Government's overarching policy objectives for the next three years, which are to:

  • keep New Zealanders safe from COVID-19
  • accelerate our economic recovery, and
  • lay the foundations for a better future.
