Inland Revenue's Policy group, together with the Treasury, advises the New Zealand Government on all aspects of tax policy, tax law reform, and social policy measures that interact with the tax system.
The Policy group:
- develops tax policy
- drafts tax legislation
- negotiates, interprets and maintains New Zealand's network of double tax agreements.
