Student Loan Scheme Amendment Bill reported back

The Finance and Expenditure Committee has reported to Parliament on the Student Loan Scheme Amendment Bill, which was introduced on 7 September 2011. The bill introduces changes to improve current loan repayment levels, removes the ability to offset losses against a borrower’s net income in order to reduce their repayment obligation, reduces the current repayment holiday period from three years to one year and requires borrowers to apply for the repayment holiday.
