New legislation enacted

Legislation introduced in November in the Taxation (Annual Rates and Urgent Measures) Bill has been enacted. The legislation, which passed through its final stages in Parliament on 13 December, received Royal assent this week. The resulting Taxation (Urgent Measures) Act 2005 and Student Loan Scheme Amendment Act 2005 are published here, courtesy of Legislation Direct.
